Journal Entry

Today is June 23, 2025.

Yesterday was my mothers 69th Birthday. She took my grandson to Ripley’s for her birthday. She is a sweetheart. She also takes care of my father who is in bad health as well as my 86 year old grandmother that suffers from dementia as well as loss of eyesight. She is really struggling in my absence. I look forward to being able to relieve some of the daily struggles for her. It is punishment on my heart to know that i have done such stupid things that have in turn caused me to abandon my family. My son passed away tragically on July 25, 2023. I had been incarcerated 45 days at the time. I did not get to lay my son to rest nor have I been able to grieve his death. He was 33 years old and my only son. I can not describe the pain in my heart.
I do have a beautiful, smart, brave and kind 21 year old daughter. She is in college to be a Radiology Tech. She will graduate next year with a Bachelors in Sociology before beginning RA classes. I was incarcerated when she began her 2nd year of college. I have not been able to help her but she has worked hard to help herself through. She also was responsible for helping to bury her brother. The burdens placed on her in my absence has been many but she has been strong. When I am released I hope to give her some relief so she can have a little breathing room before beginning her future as a professional.
Tomorrow I will relay some of the things that are happening at FCI Tallahassee.
