Journal Entry

This week has bore fruit in the form of a few completed tasks. I set out to learn to use the typewriter with no assistance and that goal was accomplished this week. I finished a business plan for a lawn service for another inmate. I also started a clemency application for someone. I didn’t actually want to do the clemency app but they wanted me to do it because of the way that I speak while I am tutoring in the GED class. I ended up doing the clemency form and it came out really well and I also learned a new skill. It was a very fulfilling thing to be a part of. I am working on myself through others. I believe that helping others allows me to get some of the things that I need done by learning new skills that I can continue to benefit from myself. I am maintaining my personal relationships and building towards success upon my release. The stock market plummeted this week but that’s a positive depending on how you view it. I am working out my mock portfolio so that I can teach these types of financial tidbits in a classroom setting upon release. I am journaling daily even though they don’t all make it to Prison Professors. I am holding myself accountable everyday. People around me are noticing the changes.
