I am making it my duty to stay engaged with my children. My first daughter has graduated from high school and being a college graduate has gave me foresight in guiding her on her journey to attend college herself. I have laid out what she should use her time doing while getting a degree. I have told her the importance of using college like a business decision to carve out her future through relationships and her choice of which degree she wants to pursue. It can be a stepping stone for something great or a hinderance depending on how strategic you are with your journey. All of the success stories I have read took a lot of time to learn as much as they can in whatever field they were interested in. I have been planting seeds in my kids since they could engage in conversation.
