The New Year is here and I am working daily to make my goals and stay focused on getting guys to be able to pass the GED test. We have had great success in that area so far. I started the year out with three guys passing their last test and graduating from the program. I am writing daily in my personal journal and keeping an account of the way that I respond to others and outside stimuli. I also am staying focused on my attitude towards the people around me. When I say that, I mean the way I view the people I am incarcerated with. You tend to be very tough when it comes to helping others when they ask for favors because people are always scheming and trying to see how far they can push you. There has to be balance because not everyone is about that. I am working to be more flexible with others. I don’t ask for anything from people because I prefer they don’t ask it from me. I am working on that attitude. I have been a little more lenient with helping others. It’s a work in progress. Today was a great day as well. The temperature was in the 20’s early this morning and stayed cold all day.
