Making change on the FCI Aliceville Compound
So, I have been reading the circle maker as well as Draw the circle, both faith based books by Author Mark Batterson. I love both of these books. They go hand in hand and have really pushed me to move my faith walk up by miles instead of inches!! Well, it had been on my heart for quite some time to start a small prayer circle in our unit nightly, however, i didn’t know what exactly the group looked like or what our prayer focus would be. Then, God spoke to me loud and Clear. We need to pray for this compound. 2 chronicles 7:14 he said to me. Clear as day. So obviously I said “yes God” and went to my fellow prayer warriors in the unit and put together a group. Then, another inmate said Tara, what if we could get a small group together in EVERY UNIT to pray together at 7:14pm every night, asking God to heal our land. What an amazing idea! So we spread the word, and today at church I approached our head chaplain and asked him for help getting this started and guess what! He loved the idea and made an announcement. Now, we have head prayer warriors in every unit designated to lead a prayer surrounding 2 chronicles 7:14 every evening at 7:14. Ask and it shall be given, knock and the doors will open. I know that Big change is about to happen on this compound and it the change is something that only God can provide. It is so amazing to see women come together for the greater good.
Today was a huge win for all of us women on the compound. I just know that God is going to move mountains.
How about you, out there in the free world, can you pray for us at 7:14pm everyday and ask God to heal the land at FCI Aliceville? We sure could use it!
