Lesson 29: Growth Mindset
– My current mindset is one of motivation. I have had many set backs on my path, but I refuse to use those set backs as an excuse for giving up. We can learn from every single situation we are placed in. We can learn from masterminds when we feel discouraged and we can continue to grow with every opportunity that is given to us.
– I tend to have a growth mindset in most areas of my life. Failure is not an option for me. I can continue to try in all different ways until I succeed. Moving forward in all areas in my life will push me to learn more and to do things better the next time I try.
-Challenges that trigger a fixed and somewhat negative mindset for me are when situations at home are not going as planned or as I feel they should. This triggers a fixed mindset for me because I become stuck on how can we change something when I am not there to change it. The loss of control there is difficult for me to change my mindset on. Trying to work through those situations is difficult for me to understand.
– I typically have a difficult time responding to those types of situations. I tend to feel defeated and as if there is nothing I can do. After thinking through the situations I can typically come to some form of resolution and can then present my thoughts and feelings on the situation.
