Journal Entry

I start each day with a list of 10 things I am grateful for and why. When I do this it starts my day off on a good note with my gratitude list at the forefront of my mind.

I reached out to an advocate that a couple of women (who are from my home state) are using here at Waseca to see what she had to say about halfway house time and all that. I didn’t know it at the time but I ended up personally knowing her from years ago. She said that she has changed her life around and is now advocating for prisoners like me. I told her about my life today, that I am changing my life around and about doing the paralegal program I am doing and she offered me a possible job when I get out so that is definitely something to look at, and someone to add to my network of supporters.

I logged my July hours for the month in Horticulture and am now at 364 Live hours. I attended the Rdap morning meeting and worked Horticulture for the rest of the day after that, working out in the yard weeding and watering, and fertilizing.

Last night my softball team won the final game of our championship so we took first place. I played third base and we all played well and have fun and enjoyed taking the championship home to Rdap.
