Journal Entry

As of 2 weeks ago me and 4 other ladies have started to form a program to help other women in prison. the name we created is LMI (Like Minded Individuals) and what it will entell once it is up and running is resources that we have to help out people who have no outlet, no resources once they get home.

When i was 24 I decided it was a “bright” idea to sell drugs and at the age 25 i was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison. It took me about 2 years in to realize that selling drugs and landed up in prison wasn’t so bright so i then made a commitment to myself that I wouldn’t let my surroundings define me so i decided to create outlets for myself. I started using all my talents to keep myself busy and active and humble while also creating a release plan because one thing i do know is without a plan I will not make it once i get home. I plan to use what I have learned while being incarcerated to empower me and others to be a productive part of society.

I have created a Salsa from scratch that im going to put into stores when i get home.
