I spend a lot of my time learning about the Laws of the US and explore cases. One can have case law sent in through lawyers, family, friends and read newspapers in the Library, readily available at any prison.
Invest time and effort in finding your way around the Electronic Law Library and pay visit to the Legal Clerks working there. Many of these have a lot of paralegal experience and will be able to help you on your way.
Do not be shy to ask friends and family to help you, using AI outside of these prison walls.
Believe it or not, my late Mom was my Research Specialist and at 85 she would be surfing the Internet like a Silicon Valley Grad Student :).
So, now I have found a few other people helping me out, but it is not the same (yet).
AI helps you in so many ways, doing research in so many ways, often very extensive. You can have draft letters made, which you then can modify to your exact needs.
Where Google started, AI continued to a next level.
I know there is a lot of scepticism and aversion as to the use of AI, but I honestly feel that that ship has sailed. AI is used everywhere, in universities, medical care, court settings, just name it. And this will only increase more and more in the times to come.
In prison, we do not have access to Internet, which is a huge deprivation in our learning process. Luckily we have access to books and newsletters, and by exchanging these with each other, we can expand knowledge this way.
Using AI through other people is definitely useful, as you can have specific searches done and comparisons for example. I find it an amazing tool and it is helping me out a lot.
For example, I read a book when I was barely 18. It was by a Sufi philosopher/scholar: Dr. Zahurul Hassan Sharib, the title is “Inner Peace”. I remembered the book vividly and I have read it so many times.
At the time, I was doing research in the Royal Library in The Hague for I was writing an article for a magazine, about the history of Andalusia (South Spain), the origin of mathematics in that region and Sufism. One of my father’s friends gifted me that book.
I was looking for more information on his other works and my friends told me Google did not come with useful results. So they used AI and were able to send me Dr. Sharib’s bio, titles and short synopses of his other work and comparable authors.
The way queries are formulated, is very important, in order to get the best results.
AI and Digital Currencies: please keep following the developments, your knowledge on these topics will be relevant.
