Journal Entry

My adjustment decisions help my prospects for success upon release – I spend most of my time working at the Unicor here, a factory that produces sleeping bags for the military. I’ve been at this factory almost the entire time I’ve been at this facility. I’ve grown to love my job & my position. I value the opportunity to even be able to earn an income while I’m incarcerated. I participate in any chance to work overtime or learn more about how to be a more productive asset to the company. When I’m not at Unicor Im also a mentor w/ the Peer Success group which takes a lot of devoted time & attention. I have a strong heart felt desire & passion to work in recovery & social work upon my release & have been doing this type of work the whole time I’ve been incarcerated, I beleive its what I’m meant to do & my past lifestyle is helping me to reach & connect w/ people who need that in their lives.
