There are many criminal justice advocates out there and I am sincerely grateful for each one. They each have different niches they play in helping justice-impacted people incarcerated in a system that is openly and oft-reported corrupt, inept, and literally breaks the law. I think the most effective way is for as many of those advocates/organizations to band together to bring tougher consequences to the people, the executives and regional employees, who are the ones keeping the people in prison longer by NOT implementing the First Step Act as Congress wrote and as the laws say! People in prison are being help accountable for not following the law, it just makes sense that people responsible for holding us accountable should be held to the same, if not higher standards. Start suing and placing BOP staff in prison for violating the law, then you might see reform happen in a more effective and efficient manner!
