Critical thinking response:
I never journaled until I got to prison and I have been doing it now for 15 months. A daily journal memorializes your activities but if you record the things you have learned from that day’s success and failures or challenges that you have overcome, you (and anyone reading it) can reflect on it to achieve success in the future. I make sure that my journaling includes lessons learned from that day’s activities, experiences, and encounters so that I can apply them to whatever situation presents itself and so that I can succeed.
