Being in prison, experiencing the injustices of not only individuals but an entire system that is supposed to be about “justice”, losing “friends”, and learning to adapt to dangerous and unhealthy environments and come out improved, in better mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health than when you entered prison give felons a different perspective and different strengths to overcome anything the business world can throw at them. That’s how I know that I am better prepared to handle anything a position or task requires than someone who has not gone through the same experiences I have.
