Journal Entry 12/16/24
Just for Today: I will participate in the full range of my recovery. My commitment to NA is just as strong today as it was in the beginning of my recovery.
One thing I learned the hard way was to never become complacent in recovery. We must repeatedly remind ourselves of the dangers of our disease. To always have our guard up and develop new tools that can strengthen our sobriety. This is a reason why I work the program every single day. Following the 12 steps of Narcotics Anonymous and applying the principles to our daily lives.
Preparing for Success after Prison
Lesson 26: Personal Excellence
Every day I strive to build new skills that will help me cultivate a brighter future. Regardless of challenges I face while incarcerated I inquire perseverance to complete each task I put in front of me. I initiate making the best use of my time to manifest my goals into reality. My devotion to prepare for success out weighs any trivial distractions that get in my way. It is my responsibility to create my personal excellence.

Philosophy 201
I received great news today from my philosophy instructor.
“I’m happy to let you know that both your first and second exams in intro to philosophy have arrived, and you are off to a splendid start in the course. You earned As on both exams. “
This type of response is such a monumental step forward. It gives me motivation to stay focused and continue to pursue a higher education.
