Step by Step
I want to apologize to Michael Santos and his team for my lack of commitment to enter more journals on a regular basis. Recently, I have found myself still having challenges with the realities of doing time in prison. But that does not mean my dedication to change isn’t important. I have made some huge steps that have lead me one step closer to achieving my goals. Finally, I have received course material from Adams State University to begin pursuing my undergraduate degree. I also was informed through the education department of possible classes with West Hills College. I look forward to enrolling as soon as possible.
Also, I have made friends with a gentleman who has offered to tutor me in mathematics. I’ve expressed to him that it’s not my strong point and would appreciate all the help I could get.
When it comes to my physical fitness I’ve been more focused on pull ups and cardio. Each day I hit 10 sets of 10 pull ups and 5 sets of 20 on the stairs. Just within the last few weeks I’ve lost at least 5 pounds of fat.
Each and everyday I make at least one step towards a better future. I know at times I find myself struggling with the realities of prison. Indeed, I have a long way to go and I know its not going to be easy. But through hard work and dedication I know that anything is possible.
Sincerely,
Sergio Petroni
