Had my call with Prison Fellowship Ministries today regarding the Justice Ambassador program. I am excited to get involved with supporting prisoners and their families, and advocating for prison and sentence reform. I am joining their advocacy network in a volunteer role, but it’s not clear how that will play out. I’m already on the prayer team, and I hope to get started with the Justice Ambassador training sooner than later. My sentencing might interfere with that, but I am trying to get them to move forward despite my potentially spending more time in prison. Their only hangup with that is my limited ability to communicate and meet with lawmakers if in prison. I offered to use the phone, email and the written letter. I know I can be used well! Somehow, I will have a positive impact on the lives of others, if and when I am given the opportunity. If this doesn’t work out, then I will make my own opportunities!
