The rest of November was a quick adjustment back to normal life. Real, healthy food. Real showers, razors, and a haircut. A pillow. Music, especially Christian music. Church! And confession. Rekindling my relationship with my fiancée. I saw my mom and sister and some other family, but not my kids. I eased back into work at a slightly reduced capacity and paycheck. Got caught up on finances, bills, and other tasks that we often take for granted. I continued my Bible reading every day. Then we got ready for the Holidays and the joyful busyness that provides.
I finally had the hearing for my psych eval and competency ruling. There was no question of my competency in the psychologist’s written report. For the first time the Judge also finally acknowledged my initial psych eval done earlier last year. So now everything would proceed with more filings, motions, and planning to head to trial. Thankfully I was back out on my initial conditions of pre-trial release.
