What’s TDAP?
TDAP is the aftercare program once you graduate RDAP. It’s supposed to range between 4-6 months. It takes place in the halfway house or home confinement, But it can be extended if the dap coordinators don’t feel your recovery needs extra work.
One of your first meetings when you get to the halfway house is to meet with a new DAPC (head of programming) & they discuss what the program has done for you up to this point (if you are in RDAP, near the end you fill out a “relapse & recovery plan,” that is helpful at this point). You meet with a psychiatrist is there are/or were any med issues. I was offered the chance to get back on just about everything I was not allowed inside (so antidepressants, anti inflammatory- stronger then naprosyn…allergy meds, etc)
The program is a lot less structured but so far the people seem very helpful. We will see.
