For me actively preparing means I have to start by writing everything down. Thinking about my plans and what I want to do is great, but they’re not real until I start writing them down and building on them daily. It’s easy to get sidetracked, so I have to set the time aside every day and treat it like it’s the most important thing I have to do that day. Because it really is. It can be difficult to get motivated sometimes, so having goals written down with the 3 next steps I need to execute takes some of the mental hurdles out of the equation when I’m struggling with motivation. So every morning I work on what I set out for the day, and then write down what I need to work on tomorrow.
