Education and focusing on things that are a solid foundation towards becoming the best version of myself is the most important not only for myself, but for the ones that i care about.
I have been incarcerated for 7 years now and being in a place like this can be a challenge. you never know what will happen because of the loss of control I have over my life in here.
However i still have control over my emotions, thoughts and behaviors along with my preparation for success after incarceration.
I have challenged myself relentlessly in the most difficult situations through education and I have earned degrees, certifications and have transformed the way that I think and react.
Instead of being selfish i have become altruistic. I have created a path for not only myself to take but for others to follow behind me that will lead them to success.
This never comes easy and you must definitely earn it. Education is the most important part of my life. Master it, and you will succeed. I am walking proof. Take the initiative and set small achievable goals, and get after it.
