How are you serving your community?
I am one of those who earned an engineering degree before I ran afoul of federal law. So I am teaching in the prison GED program. I also put together a Small Business Basics ACE class to help some of my fellow inmates learn some basic business principles including putting together a proper business plan. I am also trying to get the Warden to expand the Apprenticeship program because not everybody will go to college, either in here or outside. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, Carpenters and other tradespeople are making six-figure paychecks in the SF Bay Area and LA area of California. I am working hard against what at times seems an immovable object, the BOP and their policies, but I keep pushing forward. I will continue my efforts when I get to Camp.
