Journal Entry

Today was a good day at work. I was training somebody to take over my old job in the shipping department. While doing this I realized how much I have learned and how much I will be able to carry this new experience to the next level of running my own company. This job I was training for is more like a supervisor’s job where you are in charge of 5 other guys having them doing various jobs such as unloading trucks, loading trucks, and documenting all the paperwork such as load guides BOL’s (bill of lading) PODs (proof of delivery). Reading manifest and being able to locate orders and load trucks and trailers. This is what comes out of the factory of the Low security prison in Ashland. Now I am moving up to the other warehouse where I’m gonna be in charge of raw materials ( the materials used to make the furniture). My job will be to read the load guides for what needs to be brought into the factory. Count the materials load the materials then transport the materials by semi truck to the gates of the low where an officer will drive it in. I am now out in community custody which means that while at work I’ll be on an out count which gives me a little more liberty to show society I can be trusted to abide by the rules I have outside of confinement.

On another note I have been spreading the news of Prison Professors and trying to get more inmates to sign up and get involved a way to help the community around me.
