We discuss this daily. No one can really influence macro-change from the inside but I have a detailed plan once we (the women who have shared vision, intellect & patience) are released.

However, the only way to really move the mountain is to present the opportunities in dollars. If taxpayers understood the system, the waste, the misappropriation, there would be a social push to influence lawmakers.

We are struggling to see FSA applied or receive SCA here at my camp. Recent progression is finally beginning to make the rights we have been granted possible.

The fsacalculator.com website runs our projections & at the bottom, tallies the money saved by leaving prison ground. That, makes people listen.

I earned my undergrad degree in Forensic Psychology in 2003 & the tide was slowly moving away from retribution as justice to restorative justice back then. It still is. The mentality that there is a broad brush solution for “criminals” is antiquated & ignorant, especially when there are enough global social statistics to prove otherwise.

This US system is unsustainable, no matter how many of us they incarcerate. The infrastructure alone can’t support the volume. The lack of health Care in the aftermath of COVID also supports the idea that adults in custody do not need to be in custody in prison.
