I try to be a light where I can be in this dark environment. A lot of people think jail is easy cause they provide basic necessities at no cost and you don’t have to worry about everyday life stresses. They cant be more wrong. I don’t have a support system when I get out. I at least have some education I can fall back on. While I’m in here I have helped tutor girls for their GED and trained them for things they need to know to get a higher position at UNICOR. Other than that I’m hoping to utilize this Prison Professors avenue to come up with a better plan for success not only for myself but I have also been recruiting women who also have a drive for change. That’s how I am helping now but I am in the middle of transit so I’m limited even more so but plan to get back on top of things when I touch down at my next institution.
