Being an RDAP wait can be extremely challenging at times, and it is easy for me to feel overlooked. However, today I am grateful for this experience. I have been given the opportunity to receive more extensive treatment versus other people who are already programming. I am learning helpful tools to combat criminal behaviors. I am learning to use assertive communication. I am learning to set healthy boundaries. I am learning to let go. I am learning to take accountability and responsibility for my actions. Every day I put these tools into practice and will have them available once I return to society.

After attending the RDAP morning meeting, I put in 6 hours toward my vocational training in Horticulture. (Goal#2) I spent those hours finishing the re-potting process of all hallway ficus trees. I cleaned up all plant surfaces and cleared them of scale. I dedicated an hour to learning information about a group of corn plants I am now caring for. These plants are beneficial for removing toxins from the air.

After work, I finished my first educational book A Briefer History of Time by Stephen Hawking. I will set aside time over the next couple of days to finish my book report and post it. (Goal #1)
