It’s difficult writing my amends letters to my victims. It brings up a lot of emotions. But the victim’s awareness course through the Life Support Alliance helped a lot. It is important for my 4th and 9th steps to make direct amends whenever possible. And to practice the spiritual principles of love and responsibility. For me, love is the most important principle because you can use it for combating almost any character defect. And in Buddhism, it is the main tool to combat suffering.
