Journal Entry

I ran laps for two hours and went to Administrative Justice then English. Administrative Justice has taught me the importance of law enforcement. I’ve been looking into why I’ve had such a problem with authority and realized talking to my classmate about defense mechanisms. I used repression burying an incident when I was 16 and my girlfriend was also dating her neighbor a hbpd officer and he came to my house and put a gun to my head and made me tell her I wouldn’t see her anymore. The fear and trauma from that incident has made me see every officer as that one that did that to me. Understanding my feelings takes power from the incident. And reassurance that not all officers are bad. But I do feel safer when they have cameras.

Character defects: repression, anger, fear

Grateful: spirituality, college, therapy
