Journal Entry

July 8, 2023 – Bixler –
Sunny Saturday!
I woke up to beautiful blue skies. It definitely feels like July heat and humidity. The Canadian
fires have been causing a lot of dangerous air quality issues so many days the sky is hazy and
smells like smoke. Today’s sky was clear.
My friend and I got together, relaxed and had lunch. It was nice. We parted ways so we could
return to doing chores. I came home and was productive. Productivity is always a great feeling.
Sometimes it’s tough to get going, but all-in-all, I think most people are happy they did.
Enjoyed dinner with my family, read some of Michael’s book, Earning Freedom, and laid low.
The downside is that when the sunsets and the lights go out my brain doesn’t shut down. I have
a series of fixes such as music, reading, watching educational videos and researching. The
research phase is a dumb move because there’s never an end point. I just keep unpeeling the
layers of information and comparing information and facts among various sources. The critical
thinking skills I learned in college are always eager to take hold.
Overall, it was a good day.
