I graduated RDAP yesterday and today I’m requesting that my court recommends I receive my full 12-month halfway house designation. I’ve earned an associate’s degree in social work, completed around 35 rehabilitation and education programs and I’ve earned 4 vocational certifications in the 13 years I’ve been incarcerated. I’ve never received a disciplinary and yet I’m 11 months from my release date. For whatever reason our BOP doesn’t accept the First Step Act and we aren’t getting FSA applied in our cases. So, I’m begging for the FSA I’ve earned.
