Resilience
Webster’s definition of resilience 1: Ability to recover or adjust easily
Thoughts on resilience:
Resilience can be thought of as a muscle to be built. Obstacles do not defeat those who preserve, those who don’t simply defeat themselves. A lesson I’ve personally experienced, is success or failure has generally been dependent on my level of effort or resilience. The uncomfortability or pain of perseverance only last temporarily, but the regret of quitting last a lifetime.
Traits of resilient people:
*They see moments of crisis as opportunities for learning and growth
*They ask for and accept help from others
*They focus on things they can control or influence, not on things they can’t
*They don’t give up when life gets hard
*They are able adapt easily to change
