The 8 Positive Attitudes for Change
Honesty- Based on being factual, truthful, not misleading, and with good intention. To receive treatment, one must be honest in admitting that you have a problem.
Humility- Submitting to uncomfortable situations and accepting that you may not have control over the situation, not actions over other people. Admitting your strengths and weaknesses. Being willing to ask for help. Abiding by all rules and expectations, even if don’t agree with them.
Open-Mindedness – Taking into consideration other points of view. Being tolerant and accepting of others personalities and differences.
Caring- Showing concern and looking out for another persons well-being and interest.
Gratitude- Identifying and showing appreciation for which you have been influenced to Finding positives in negative situations and circumstances.
Responsibility- To be accountable for your actions and accept consequences. Committing to priorities and task. Identify when and where you went wrong.
Objectivity- Putting personal feelings and beliefs aside to deal with only the facts of the situation.
Willingness- Putting forth effort whole-heartedly without being forced. Stepping out of comfort zone.
