(A story of Selflessness) The story of the ordinary washerwoman
After more than 70 years of hard work an ordinary washerwoman had finally decided to retire at the age of 86. This washerwoman had been steadfast, consistent &, dependable for 7 decades of service. Scrupulously, she had saved her earnings over the years and to the absolute amazement of her community she was able to donate 150,000 dollars to the nearby university to create a scholarship fund for it’s needy students. And Inspired by her selflessness hundreds of others acted in donating as well, eventually tripling her endowment. The washerwoman believed that the true value of her wealth was not in using her earnings for personal gain but for an act of kindness.
Moral of the story: An act of kindness or selflessness, can potentially begin a avalanche of positivity. (The Ripple effect)
