Define Success- How can you define success for your current stage in life and what small but intentional steps can you take today to ensure you keep moving toward the vision you’ve created for yourself? To show the public, my future employer, family and friends that they can trust me. I want to show them what positive things I have learned in here and how I have changed this mistake into something positive for me. I know when the public hears the term “prison” they think the worst and nothing good can come out of it. I want to show them that if you put your mind and effort to what you dream or want then something good can come out. I have had the time to reflect on myself and to learn more about myself than I would if I was in the free world and I have used this time to be a better person so I can be more successful at life and my career.
Set Goals- What specific measurable, achievable, relevant and time bound goal can you set right now that would move you closer to the future you want to create even if you’ve been dealing with ongoing challenge or crisis? My goal is to get all of this behind me. My goal to the future is for someone out there to see my potential I have and the potential I can be as I grow in myself to have a career and be that better person. Coming to prison is an ongoing crisis and a challenge that will be with me forever and I want that behind me so it can follow me and not control my life. If a challenge or a mark is in front of you or beside you then that is when it can create problems for you.
