Name three leaders that you admire? My dad, Elon Musk and any small business owner who has overcome adversity.
What are the characteristics you admire about those leaders? My dad, because he is a single dad who raised me while owning and operating multiple small businesses and being a volunteer fireman. When I had to work for him in the summertime when I was younger he needed to hire to to work for him. At the time I did not want to work for him as I wanted to play and not waste my summertime away from school. Now I look back and I am thankful what he did by needing me to work as it help to build me as an individual and to build my work ethic as he was doing that as a father to prepare me for the future and my success.
Elon Musk because he is a genius as he started many useful businesses that we are using today. He has taken many innovative ideas and turned them into profit building businesses.
The third is the small business owner who never gives up overcoming all the problems with employees and finances and also having to work 80+ hours each week only to break even at the end of the month but sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Why, because that small business owner sees the success he wants.
What decisions did those leaders make along their journey? They learned from their mistakes and from others how can I do it better and be more efficient to be a leader to show others the right direction.
What lessons from those leaders can you apply to your life? I know this is repeating but I’ve learned from them to never give up. Don’t let anyone tell you “No.” If leaders don’t try then they will be a failure and not successful.
Describe how decisions you made last week harmonize with the kinds of decisions those kinds of leaders make? To learn from my mistakes. When I make a decision I think how it will affect me and those that are involved with the decision. I don’t think we realize it but when we make decisions everyday it can be big or small, it can change the direction of your life and future. Those leaders make decisions that keep their business in the right direction.
How would the leaders you’ve identified adjust to the circumstances you’re in right now? I think they see the advancements I have made since I have been in here and the positive direction that I have shown, I want to show leaders where I was at and now look at me.
