I, Marcus Randall, am going to help my community by providing a service from another angle to attack the problem of poverty. We all know intuitively that there is something wrong in a world where poverty prevails or is aloud to exist. Most crime and problems stem from low-income socioeconomic conditions. America at it’s current state is built around debt and keeping people in debt. Schools are based around training kids into becoming employees (modern day slaves) instead of business owners or innovators. Living check to check isn’t even a task people can complete with regularity these days. Yet, most people are not even looking for a way to increase their income unless it is overtime which is taxed more leaving them with less take home. They blindly use cards instead of tangible cash to feel what they are doing when they are spending. Interest rates on debt slowly eat away at the possibility of creating financial security blanket in case of emergency, lay-off, or retirement. This leads to most Americans depending on the government for money and medical support which they truly can’t afford to provide the way they spend money. Our education system is failing us by not teaching financial intelligence that leads to financial freedom. If programs or classes can start being offered in the right environments or in the educational system, over time the next generations may be able to change the direction of the country lives of individual’s who are from communities where their parents don’t even know of nor understand these concepts. Might not make an immediate change, but maybe my kids would see it.
