Journal Entry

Being incarcerated holds you back from learning all the new advancements in life at the same time as others giving them a head start on cutting edge instruments and tools that we will be able to use when we get home. However, it is great to see and hear that bugs and complications are being worked out while we are here. It is a disadvantage because you can learn better from making mistakes and fixing then having no problems at all, but interaction is right around the corner and brings excitement to the thought of being able to use such programs to help you reintegrate into society from platforms with no bias as long as you put in the work. It gives you the ability to show how positive improvements have been made in decision making, who is serious, and gives people that really want to help in prison reform an opportunity to pick through a field of candidates that would usually have no way to show there growth with out a platform such as this to track their progress. If a program such as Refi can level the playing field of opportunities or offer another way for inmates to get out and be able to make a substantial legitimate living, finding support from people who believe in giving convicts a real chance to change there lives around for the better, it may help them believe in themselves more which inturn will boost confidence, moral, and the ability for former convicts to create and produce success in the real world.
