A personal mission statement could influence my future by not just showing my values, principles, and beliefs but also show the goals I have and what I plan to do to change things for myself, those still incarcerated, and the next generation from making the same mistakes. It also would help me to have it wrote out so that I have something physical I can hold in my hand and see and read when I need to remind myself or focus my mind.
