I will need at least $300K in capital to launch my life when I transition from prison to society. I will most likely be pursuing a new career path and I would like for that to be in the flipping of real estate. I already own a home and I would like to start my own business, register my business, secure the EIN, get my DUNS number in order to possibly get into bidding and securing government contracts, also to show/establish good credit and foundation.
That all takes lots of work, coordination and networking. It can be done and I intend to work quickly on that, most of the heavy lifting has been done already. I already had my business bank account for more than three years now and I just need to register with the state, get my EIN from the IRS, and secure a DUNS number for contracting work, then I need to attend some seminars and take some tips from folks already in the industry so that I can make my first purchase of some distressed property and begin working to build my business and contribute to building back up communities that are all torn down. I want to secure an apartment complex as well, that way I will have multiple tenants and I can begin to show a steady flow of income and progress in my business.
Maybe there are programs that I qualify for that will allow me to obtain a grant or borrow the money in order to begin my business. I will research more and move forward with my plans.
