Journal Entry

Introspect:
I have never had a day in my life where I would have thought that I would have been in trouble with the law. My attorneys did a great job representing me during trial, but the jury of my peers convicted me of sexual misconduct. This entire process has humbled me. I have always been a very disciplined and strict parent. Faithful in church leadership, dedicated husband, dad, hard worker, and former US Armed Forces Airborne Paratrooper. I am very respectful of others and I have a long history of serving with distinction. However after my conviction, I voluntarily surrendered my clergy credentials, I resigned from my position and took a lesser paying job because my security clearance was suspended and I would not be able to continue to work in my career field under the conviction status. If I had to do everything over again, I certainly would have contacted the authorities and mental health officials to handle my daughter and I would have avoided all of this. I regret not doing that however I am determined to recover everything that I lost as a result of this setback. This setback, is a setup for my comeback.
