Based on FY 2023 data the average annual COIF for a Federal Inmate housed in a Bureau or non Bureau faciloty in FY 2023 was 44,090 (120.80 per day). The average annual COIF for a federal inmate housed in a residential rentry center for FY 2023 was 41,437 (113.53 per day) according.

According to Bureau employee James Wills

How? The public needs to start to follow this money trial when we the inmates keep these facilities afloat and recieve low grade care. From the orderlys cleaning the units to the UNICORR employees making the shorts for the Navy/Army/ect where do these numbers come from?

You cannot group together a group of people and do the average of how much it costs based on health care costs included to round about a whole cost of people incarcerated. Besides even WITH this number being “true” look at the amount given for welfare for a person – including rent, food stamps, ect and you will see its cheaper to have someone working and on welfare than to have federal inmates/inmates.

Its crazy Bureau employees drag their feet or petition against early releases or compassionate releases to reduce the inmate population knowing they PaY FoR KeEpInG Us HeRe themselves too. But hey throw those apples away you take Co’s even if you cannot afford fresh fruit for your family at the grocery store and make too much to qualify for any government or state assistance!

Shout out to the employees who see my logic.. I’m only repeating yours and your complaints again … for someone to care.. I do..

Also shout of the the unnamed perviously mentioned lawyers on my 2255 Daniel Coubourn who worked on his honeymoon on my case and Kyle Kysela. I truly appreciate your time dedicated pro-bono in my appeal.
