In such an atmosphere, with the pressures so immediate and consequences of any inattention being life or death, the human brain evolved as an instrument for helping humans to not only detect dangers, but also to slowly gain control of a treacherous envrioment. The moment our ancestors began to turn inward and give into wishes and fantasies, reality rigorously punished them for their delusions and bad decisions.
Today, so many hundreds of thousands of years laterm we have the same brain designed for the same purpose. But because we have increasingly gained control of our envrioment and the physical pressures have loosened dramatically, the dangers have become much more subtle- they come in the form of people (not leopards) and their tricky psychology, and the delicate polictial and social games we have to play. And becasue of these less obvious dangers, our greatest problem is that our minds tend to become less sensitive to the envrioment; we turn inward, absorbed in our dreams and fantasies. We become naive.”
Mr Santos encourged me to read while incarcerated and to do a few book reports. My readings began before his advice and I began reading profusely in the county jail. One of my favorite books was the 33 stategies of war.
To date this book, the dentist of Auschwitz, My grandfathers blessing and the choice along with my daily readings of the Daily laws have been the books i’ve read and re-read and reported on and study/studied.
To date I myself ponder and i’ve brought into question even with a military officer/co …
What would of happened in Dr Edith Eva Eger mother used the strategies of past rulers and warriors/ military members to avoid being seperated from her daughter?
Would you punish her force or actions for use of force and the way she utlilized her power to keep her family intact or mother bond or instincts her human brain was born with the detect danger to her or her young?
What would of happened if she used force to keep her daughter from rows of barbed wire and direct orders of the most horrific.
In prison there is 7 rows of barbed wire seperating me from being under “direct orders”.
When Dr Edith Eva came to America her first feelings were “I had escaped. But I wasn’t free”.

I told my son I would see him soon… the courts still keep my from my kids.. even the one who cries mommy and wants his mom. No matter how free I will be when I walk out of here I am not free until I am allowed to be a mother free to hold her baby. I am so tired of “playing this game” of the courts dictatorship over my families lives. #nojustice
