Today I completed my drug education class, I’m excited because i love to set and reach goals. Even though I’ve already signed my release papers thus not taking the class i still would go home, I’m just committed to learning and having accomplishments under my belt. The drug education class was beneficial though I’ve been around that block before taking substance abuse classes, this course actually taught me a few things about the different categories about substances and there connection to crime.Overall my day was actually a long day because for about 9 hours the facility was on lock down, so that meant being stuck in the small cell with a cellmate and toilet cramped in the cement space.Smelling another guys waste is one thing i definitely wont miss, its things like that that will assure keep me on my square. The officers didn’t tell us why we where locked down they just expect us to sit for hours on out not being able to shower or call home without any reason as to why we cant communicate with our family. Now that I’ve actually signed my release papers everything seems to bother me so much more, from my cellmate snoring to people being loud and rude in the unit. But no matter the annoyance imma keep a level head and remain steadfast on the mission, FREEDOM. I wasn’t able to workout do to having my drug education class so early then being on lockdown so now I’m about to get a quick 45 minute exercise in before i shower and hit the hay. The lessons provided by Prison Professors about digital economy have been very informative i look forward to daily lessons taught by Michael Santos, and strongly feel its further preparing me to succeed upon my release.
