Journal Entry

The morning is progressing well ,its my off day from working out so instead of exercising after breakfast i just studied my five words out the dictionary then went back to sleep. Learning never stops the accomplishments of daily goals even give me adrenaline just as if i had done 200 burpees. Unfortunately now i have a crook in my next i guess from sleeping on my makeshift pillow made of a sheet wrapped around a blanket, I don’t understand for the life of me why we cant have pillows, so now my back gonna be extra messed up, from sleeping on a thin mat only inches thick and also from sleeping without a pillow which doesn’t give any support for your neck and back. The first week home i need to get a deep tissue massage and search for a chiropractor because I’m so desperately i need of some realignment. But even though I’m complaining I’m still grateful this nightmare is soon ending that give me motivation to just keep my head down and bare the harsh realities of being imprisoned. I’m relentless in my self rehabilitation because the Bureau of prisons (BOP) doesn’t do enough to really help, between the overcrowding and lack of programs an inmate is forced to put himself on a course to self improvement. Learning all i can to lay the blueprint or foundation to what’s to come upon my release puts me at an advantage so that’s mostly what i focus on daily ,ways to improve my transition and help my chances of success from here, which makes me think of the 5 P’s: Proper,Preparation,Prevents,Poor,Performance. Like the say if you fail to plan you plan to fail, Sadly i hear so many in my environment say “oh i cant wait till i get out” and when you ask them what is it there going to do, they respond “well i just got to get out first then i figure it out” smh that’s a recipe for disaster so i try to ready myself now for any challenge, hurdle, or roadblock that will be in my way,so that i would be first mentally ready for the opposition then be equipped with the tools and know how to overcome said difficulty.
