Journal Entry: Week of November 11th – 15th, 2024
Week Summary:
The schedule for the week was packed with a variety of tasks, including both routine maintenance and specific projects requiring coordination across different teams. A key change for this week was the adjustment to a 7:00 AM start time for all operations, ensuring we maximized daylight hours and maintained a consistent workflow. Below is a summary of activities for each day.
Monday, November 11th
The week started with a focus on painting tasks at Ellison Mills. The team, including Sean, Anthony, and Justin, worked on the Coolidge Longline painting while also transporting the Shortline equipment in the back of the F250 for the stopbar. The project at El Presidio also
progressed with sidewalk painting, managed by Matt, Dillon, and Oso. Both teams made good progress with minimal delays.
Tuesday, November 12th
Tuesday was a split day for the team at El Presidio. Sean, Matt, and Justin focused on continuing sidewalk painting, while Anthony, Oso, and Dillon took care of the installation of flexible delineators. Coordination was key, and we were able to maintain efficiency despite the varying tasks. No major issues arose, and both teams completed their tasks on time.
Wednesday, November 13th
A significant shift occurred on Wednesday with Anthony off for the day. The remaining crew, including Sean, Matt, Dillon, Oso, and Justin, worked on the Raytheon parking lot and road. A reminder went out to all team members that a copy of their birth certificate was required on hand for the job, a new policy for Raytheon-related work. Despite the additional administrative step, the team remained focused and continued with their duties without significant interruptions.
Thursday, November 14th
Thursday mirrored Wednesday’s operations with Anthony still off. The team worked diligently at Raytheon, focusing on the parking lot and road, while adhering to the birth certificate requirement. The presence of Oso, Dillon, Sean, Matt, and Justin ensured the work proceeded smoothly and met the expected standards.
