Journal Entry for the Week of January 27, 2025

Justin Norcutt

Monday, January 27

The week started early at 8:00 AM with a cold snap across the area. The team met up in Marana, AZ, to work on the Marana Longline Paint Maintenance project. Alongside me were Anthony, Sean, and Gary, and we managed to get through the day without any major issues. It’s always a little more challenging when the temperatures dip, but we kept moving efficiently.

Meanwhile, Dillon and Matt were in Tucson, working on the Suntran Bus Yard Shortline and Bollards project. Oso also had a separate task, handling the Woodruff Rd Rumble Cut Sweeping in Casa Grande.

It was a busy start to the week, but everything seemed to fall into place.

Tuesday, January 28

Anthony was off today, so the remaining team—Sean, Justin, Gary, and I—were in Marana again for the Longline Paint Maintenance. The weather was cooperative for the most part, which was a relief given how unpredictable things have been lately. The work in Marana went smoothly.

In Tucson, Dillon and Matt were handling the Mission Gardens Signs project, followed by some work at the Speedy Yard. Oso continued his work on Woodruff Rd in Casa Grande.

We kept things steady today, and I appreciated the collaboration from everyone. It’s always helpful when we can rely on each other and get the job done without much fuss.

Wednesday, January 29

Today was a cold one, with a high of just 55°F and a chance of rain. Because of the weather, the entire crew—Anthony, Gary, Sean, Matt, Oso, Dillon, and I—was off. It was one of those rare days where the elements forced us to pause and wait for better conditions. Hopefully, we can get back on track tomorrow.

Thursday, January 30

The team reconvened in Casa Grande for a busy day. We tackled the Woodruff Rd Longline Thermo and Shortline Thermo project, which involved a lot of moving parts. Anthony, Sean, Justin, Gary, Matt, Dillon, and Oso were all on-site. The cold weather lingered, but we made the best of it and powered through. It felt like a productive day, and we managed to stay ahead of schedule, despite the temperature.

Friday, January 31

We wrapped up the week in Casa Grande again, finishing up the Woodruff Rd Longline Thermo and RPMs project. With Sean, Justin, Gary, Matt, Dillon, and Oso, we were able to tackle the

tasks efficiently and with good teamwork. By the end of the day, we were all tired, but it felt great to see everything come together.

Overall, despite the cold temperatures and a day off due to weather, the week was productive. The team showed great adaptability, and we got all the major projects done without significant issues. I’m looking forward to a smoother week ahead.
