Journal Entry: Week of January 20, 2025

Monday, January 20

Started the week with a solid 8:00 AM kick-off, as planned. The cold temps made for a brisk start, but we pressed on. The main focus was getting the new longline paint truck unpacked at Speedy Yard. Unloading went smoothly, and we immediately began the process of mounting equipment, including the laser, skip timers, and the backup camera. Once all was set up, we moved into testing and calibrating. Anthony, Sean, Justin, and Gary all contributed to getting the truck fully operational.

In Marana, we focused on the Sky Haven/Thornydale-Oblit crosswalk and blackout project. At the same time, we completed the obliteration-only work and arrow painting at Cortaro Farms and Cerrius Strav. Matt, Dillon, and Oso tackled those sites.

Tuesday, January 21

With Anthony off today, we had a smaller crew. The team in Tucson took on the Sun Tran front lot and finished up the remaining items in the back lot. Sean, Justin, and Matt worked together on these tasks. Meanwhile, Dillon, Oso, and Gary headed to Country Club to focus on preformed arrows.

Before wrapping up for the day, we made sure to clean the 2’ stencils and loaded them up for tomorrow’s ILS Warehouse job.

Wednesday, January 22

With Anthony and Gary off today, the crew was smaller, but we pushed through. The team in Tucson handled the ILS Warehouse and loading dock striping and stenciling. Sean, Justin, Matt, Oso, and Dillon took on the entire project, and everything went according to plan.

Thursday, January 23

Anthony was off again, so the rest of us stayed on task. In Marana, we focused on restriping longline paint on various roads, as well as taking care of the Sanders Rd utility patch using the longline paint truck. Sean, Justin, Gary, and Matt were in charge of this.

In Tucson, Oso and Dillon handled street sign work at Mission Gardens while the rest of us focused on various smaller projects back at Speedy Yard. We made solid progress on all fronts.

Friday, January 24

The week wrapped up with another early start. In Marana, we were back on the roads for longline restriping with the paint truck. Anthony, Sean, Justin, and Gary covered this work.

At Speedy Yard, Oso, Dillon, and Matt continued with ongoing projects, knocking out a few tasks before the week’s end.

Overall, it was a productive week despite the cold weather. We stayed on track with both the

painting projects and the warehouse work, making good use of the team’s strengths and ensuring that all equipment and materials were ready for the following jobs.
