So today Micheals’s entry prompted me to think about giving back. For years I spent my life living in a way that was not supportive of a community. I sold drugs that ruined lives sent people to jail, and took parents from their children and children from their parents. I want to offer good things to my community. I am in a setting that limits what I can do to give back but one thing I can do is teach and offer guidance with the skills I have. So, with that being said I am going to talk to the staff here and see if I can teach some kind of Canine health/ vaccination class to women interested in the dog training program we are starting. Hopefully, they will be receptive and if not I will find another way I suppose I can always just teach whoever in the units that want to learn. I am going to start working on my plan today !!!
