I have loved all of the cards I have received from my family. Thank you to all for thinking of me. I truly love reading my cards…and savor every moment.
In order to savor the moment, I planned to read them all alone in the middle temple/sanctuary room that doesn’t get used often It was awesome to read them one at a time with no interruptions. Thank you to my sisters for their Father’s Day emails. Much appreciated.
I started my day being blessed by Hashem with a pain free sleep. I have to believe my hard work at the gym in addition to resting on Shabbat is paying off.
Every Sunday, we get eggs scrambled with potatoes, so I had them with my toasted challah roll. A friend comes over and says “ah, a Father’s Day Brunch”, and I agreed. Some guys were playing chess, a dozen others were watching tv, and I was enjoying my brunch anticipating reading cards from my family thereafter.
A cool moment in the gym happened when a friend said as he was working out that “I am an inspiration”. I thought that was so nice of him to say. I’m not entirely sure what he was referring to (the workout, the struggles I had shared with him, or my age). Either way, to be someone’s inspiration is a big deal and I do not take it lightly. I am grateful and humbled. Baruch Hashem!
I strongly believe this is the week I will hear some good news regarding my release date. I pray Hashem blesses us with what we want most and that is a release date before the wedding. No matter what, we will be thrilled to move on to the next step of this journey!
Happy Father’s Day to all!!
