I just woke up from a nap, and wanted to sync up my Tablet and check my emails, and before I could do so, my next door bunkie who was singing out loud listening to his mp3 player stops me to ask “Jerry, who was that that visited you? Was it your sister and kids?” I reply “No that was my wife, 2 daughters and future son in law.” He then shares “Your wife has a good soul, and is a beautiful person. She said one word to me, but I can tell a lot about people and she is a positive soul.”
We continued to have a meaningful conversation about how important it is to have the support directly from the immediate core family, which he does also and that it is ok if you don’t have that same level of support from others.
Bottom line, I felt a strong bond talking with him and felt how kind of a man he is from what he said to me about my beautiful wife.
I think I was here less than 2 weeks and I printed some emails that I wanted to keep, and I left them at the printer, but when I got back to the camp, this same camper is asking me if I am “Maurer” and I say yes and he gives me the 3 printed papers. Fast forward to my 6th week, and I found an mp3 player in the computer room but decided to leave it just where it was thinking the owner would come back for it. I return back to the camp and within 10 minutes, this very same nextdoor bunkie says out loud to himself “Where is my mp3 player?”, and I shout out his name, getting his attention and tell him to run back to the computer room as I just saw an mp3 player there. He says “Thank you” and retrieves it.
This was a full circle moment a full month and a half in the making. You can’t make this stuff up. It truly is another miracle from Hashem!
