Journal Entry

I work hard in here to be a good role model for others and prepare for my future. I have been working on a business plan and outline and even a handbook for my own recovery center. I have been building with my community. I am in contact with Terri Prter of healing stone out of Omaha ne and she has been successful in opening another sober living house and contracting land for housing to felons who have completed her program. She is my mentor I also graduated from there when on pretrial so I recommend her and the program to many others who are being released or who I might be in contact with through family that may be looking to get sober and need help. I am also in contact with my Intense outpatient and outpatient counselor that I graduated from as well while on pretrial she is also somewhat of a spiritual advisor for me while her keeping my faith in God and relationship growing closer to him. I also stay in touch with the treasurer of the AA board I was secretary of while on pretrial she is also a great mentor staying with me and working continuous on sobriety as it is a lifestyle now recovery is lifelong. While in here I stick to a daily plan of meditation bible study exercise and work along with a few classes. I like to read and work through self help books and remain in a constant learning state so as to never return to a place like this and to help others do the same along the way. I like to say I do my time not let it do me. I focus on becoming the better version of myself and a role model to others.
